For Your Information-

We are having issues with parents not pulling forward in the drop off/pick up zone. When dropping off or picking up, please make sure you’re pulling all the way north to the bike rack. This will help with the congestion on the roadway and keep our students safe. 

For students that bring coats, jackets, gloves, hats etc… Please make sure they are labeled with their name. We have an extremely large amount of items in our lost and found! Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the year.

Counselors Corner-

A strong connection with a child is important for their healthy development. Connection fosters a growth mindset.  When students have a growth mindset, they are more likely to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and be more resilient. Here are some tips for connecting with your child:

Quality time- set aside dedicated time each day for one-on-one activities with your child. This could include reading together, playing games, or taking a walk. 

Active listening- Practice active listening by giving your child your full attention when they want to talk. Validate their feelings and show empathy to strengthen your emotional connection. 

Routine check-ins- Establish a routine for checking in with your child about their day. This helps create a sense of security and opens the door for communication. 

Express affection- Demonstrate your love through physical touch, hugs, and verbal affirmations. Small gestures can go a long way in reinforcing the bond between parent and child.
